Jill Brady, Artistic Director & Ballet

Jill is theowner of Cave Creek Dance Academy since 2005. Her training includes:

  • Began at the age of 3 and primarily danced with Terri Gordon until Middle school
  • Marina Svetlova
  • Walnut Hill School for the Arts
  • Boston Ballet
  • Washington Ballet
  • University of Arizona

 

Matthew Brady, Office Manager

Matt Brady is the CCDA office manager.  He is very approachable and is happy to help with any questions that you may have.

 

 

Amber Booth, Lyrical, Jazz, Technique, Company Director

Amber Booth is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona and has been dancing for twenty-three years.  Amber got her start in showbiz through beauty pageants and was Junior Miss America in 1986.  This led to print work and runway modeling for Dillard’s, as well as modeling work for different hairstyling shows around Arizona.  From there, she continued her training in tap, jazz, gymnastics and ballroom.  During her high school years, Amber trained with Rhonda Miller and went on to dance for Brian Friedman as a senior member of his competition company, Dance Vibes.  She was also on the Varsity Pom line, at Saguaro High School, for three years.  Amber was a scholarship student at Tremaine Dance Center and she spent a year training with choreographers such as Chris Dupre`, Chad Allen, Bradley Rapier, Joe Tremaine and Eddie Garcia.  She even had the privilege of dancing for Michael Rooney in a Sketchers industrial while working and assisting her long time friend and mentor Brian Friedman on several projects.  After spending many years in Los Angeles, Amber moved back to Arizona to obtain her Bachelors Degree in business while also judging for dance competitions such as Dance Masters of America. Currently, Amber teaches at Cave Creek Dance Academy in Arizona, where she is a director and choreographer for the Adaptive Force Competitive Dance Company.

 

Angie Bramble, Jazz and Hip Hop

Angie Bramble has been on faculty at CCDA since 2008. Angie has been dancing since the age of three studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, swing and musical theater at a studio in the suburbs of Chicago.  She's traveled all over the US attending conventions and competitions and has performed on tour in the Caribbean and Europe.  In college she continued her dance training taking classes at Columbia College Chicago while pursuing her degree in Fashion.  Angie has choregraphed for several high school pom squads and dance teams and continues to do choreography for special projects in Arizona and Illinois.

Lisa Roddy, Tiny Tots and Ballet/Jazz, Assistant Director

Lisa has been a faculty member since 2005.  She has been dancing for twenty- eight years and teaching for twenty-two.  Lisa’s dance experience consists of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Music Theater, Lyrical, African and Brazilian Dance. She has participated in several dance workshops, companies and competitions over the years.  Her experience with the Arizona State University Dance Company was a rich and valuable one.  Lisa has a degree in Child Development and has her elementary education certification.  Her goal is to provide every student with a positive environment that interweaves the elements of instruction, discipline, creativity and fun.

Mike Wittmers, Tap and Musical Theatre

Mike joined the CCDA faculty in 2008. Mike  is originally from Cupertino, California.  He's been tapping for 28 years and is a former cast member of Tap Dogs, where he played the role of THE RAT.  Some of Mike's other professional musical theater credits range from "A Chorus Line" to "Crazy for You".  Mike has been a tap teacher in Los Angeles and on staff at EDGE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, Millenium Dance Complex and Debbie Reynold's Studio.  Industrial and commercial credits include, SONY, ABSOLUT VODKA, COMPAQ, TOSHIBA,  KIRIN BEER, and various print-work.  Mike's choreography has been seen everywhere from conventions across North America and Disneyland themeparks, to dance competitions in Australia.  Aside from dance, Mike enjoys playing hockey, guitar and the drums. Television and film credits include, The Tonight Show, "Maneater" on the Lifetime Network, as well as the widely acclaimed short films, Tap Heat and Generation: LOST.  Mike is the owner and creator of Double Bass Productions.  The company has just released it's second instructional tap DVD entitled, "The World Is My Drum Vol. 2".  Double Bass Productions also offers a monthly newsletter for studio owners, teachers and students, called "The Riff" and is currently in production with it's rock and blues tap show, "Scuff'd Up!"(Coming to the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center in August 2010).. Cara Ann Zic, Ballet

Cara Zic joined the CCDA faculty in 2009 and has been teaching ballet since 1995, when she earned her Bachelor's degree in Ballet from Indiana University. She has performed with several classical and contemporary groups, including Ballet Arizona, Indianapolis Ballet, Prairie Dance Theatre, and DanceConsortium. Ms. Zic holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Texas, where she also continued her training in Pilates conditioning.
